D. R. Widder

D. R. Widder is Vice President of Innovation at Philadelphia University and is the Steve Blank Innovation Chair. 

He seeks to increase industry engagement with the University, be the catalyst for internal innovation, and is part of the leadership team for the development of DEC, PhilaU’s integrative learning paradigm for education in the 21st century.  His responsibilities at the University include partnership development, online education, entrepreneurship, and new program development.   His career in industry  has included multiple high tech early stage ventures, development of multiple technological patents, and serving in an entrepreneur in residence role at IBM. D.R. is an advisor and mentor to early stage ventures and is on the executive committee of RVI, an organization that invests in early stage entrepreneurs.

D.R. has a BSEE, a Masters in Electrical Engineering with an Applied Mathematics focus, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College.
