Associate Professor Janet Brady teaches Textile Materials, Advanced Fabric Performance, Interior Fabric Performance, Apparel Fabric Performance, and Product Evaluation courses to Textile Designer, Textile Materials Technology, Fashion Designer, undergraduate students and to Fashion Apparel Management and Textile Engineering graduate students. She is the Supervisor of the Grundy Materials Evaluation Laboratory, one of the signature learning spots within the university. Her experience in product development and evaluation includes over 30 years of experience in the Textile industry where she has been a member of ASTM, TAPPI, AATCC, IFAI, and NFPA. She currently serves as chair of the Delaware Valley Section of the AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists - a world wide organization). She also serves as team leader for the LEHP Materials Evaluation Team and serves as a member of all the other LEHP teams. Through the Grundy Lab she has had the opportunity to assist many companies with problem solving and product development. She has worked with apparel, home furnishing, medical, and industrial textile companies.

Professor Brady received an Associate's degree in Textile Technology from the Fashion Institute of Technology, her Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Technology from Philadelphia University, and her Master's in Textile Engineering from Philadelphia University.
