Accessibility

Philadelphia University and the Mann Center for the Performing Arts are committed to accommodating guests with special needs and ensuring that all members of the community are able to celebrate Commencement day.  Please refer to the Mann Center website for information on accessibility.

Seating

The Mann provides limited wheelchair seating. Due to demand for wheelchair seating, only one person can sit with the guest in a wheelchair.  Early arrival is strongly encouraged.

For those who need assistance getting to the seating area, wheelchairs are available for transport from the gates to your seat.  Please see your nearest PhilaU usher upon arrival.

Parking

Limited parking for guests with a valid handicap license plate or other authorized identification is available near the PECO Plaza main gates.  You may drop off guests with accessibility needs in front of the PECO Plaza main gates before proceeding to the parking lot.

Parking at the Mann Center is $15 per vehicle (cash).  This fee is charged by the Mann Center; it is not a University fee.

Sign Language Interpreters

Graduates and guests needing sign language interpreters should contact the Provost’s Office at commencement@PhilaU.edu or (215) 951-2705 at least 30 days prior to the ceremony. Guests will be escorted to specific seating for optimum use of this service. Each guest needing this service may have only one additional person sit with him/her.

For more information, call the Office of the Provost at 215.951.2705 or email The Office of the Provost at Commencement@PhilaU.edu.
